Has anyone went to the Disney's Spirit of Aloha Show at the Poly. We are trying to see if it would be fun to do. Is it a long show? Any thoughts would be great.

Was the show good? Was it pretty long, or shorter? We will have kids with us.

It was terrible!!!
Food, (lack of) story, they took 90% of the great music & dancers out.

The show and meal run together at the same time both places, you eat and watch the show. Maybe 1 1/2 to 2 hr shows. At the HDD your party has their own table and at Luau you sit with others at long tables withothers like a banquet (this you may not like).
Meal at both place the same BBQ chicken and ribs ( now me DW and the kid did like the meal but I know other didn't care for it)
I'll attach some reviews.

We (4 adults) went to the Spirit of Aloha show mid January and really enjoyed it. The food was VERY good!
We also went about a year and half ago (to HDDR one weekend and the SoA the next). We both liked SoA better -- along with liking the food better too.
Our food was delicious at SoA, and the service was great.
Which one you prefer I think it just a matter of personal taste.

If by "long" you mean was I wishing for it to be over and longing for escape? Then, yes, it's long. ;)

Everything about the Spirit of Aloha show was a disappointment.

:lmao:We were counting down the minutes as well! HORRIBLE!

With an endless picture of beer I wouldn't have minded if it lasted all night.

The luau was boring, food mediocre and the kids kept asking if it would be over soon. The HDDR was foot stomping, hand clapping, singing fun. The kids loved it. The BBQ ribs and chicken were good but the show and atmosphere was the best. It is a must do for us every trip. The luau was once and never again.

I keep agreeing with the HDDR being the best or the 2 , the show even come down onto the floor between the tables. Aso there is also that endless piture of beer and or wine.
