Dinner Show Question

Please share experiences with dinner shows such as Hoop de Doo Review and the Polynesian Spirit of Aloha. We've been to HDDR and loved it. We're thinking about PSOA. Any comments will be appreciated. No children with us this time just two adults. Thanks to everyone.

I have not been to the new show at the Poly, but we have done the HDDR and the old Polynesian Luau. I preferred the HDDR, however, the Luau was fun also.

I would say if you've never tried it then why not give it a shot?
It's always fun to try new things at WDW!

We've been to the Hoop-Dee-Doo and the (old) Luau. We love them both and I recommend that you do both if you can. If you can only do one, and you've never seen the Luau (Spirit Of Aloha), I suggest you give it a try.

My family (even my kids) prefer the Luau over the Hoop-Dee-Doo. Don't get me wrong, we love the Hoop-Dee-Doo too......it's just that if we had to pick only one to see per trip, we'd probably pick the Luau 2 out of 3 times. We haven't seen the new Spirit of Aloha yet, but we're looking forward to seeing it this trip.

I've seen the old Luau and comparing that to the HDDR, I'd pick the HDDR hands down. I found the food at the Luau to be "not my taste" and the show itself was just not as fun.

Been to both (although, I am sure not the latest "renditions"). Enjoyed them both, but I laughed SO much more at HDDR. It just went by SO fast!!! The luau was everything I expected it to be (and yes...some of the food was authentic and "interesting"), but it did not impress me as much as HDDR.

They were both wonderful, and worth every penny...but, the only one I have a real desire to go back to is HDDR.

You will have a great time at either that you choose!

I love both the Hoop-Dee-Doo and the Luau, but I am like Parrothd - the Luau is my favorite.
