my wife and I had originally planned to take our 2 year old DD to Disney for a couple of days (we were actually suppose to be flying down today) and then taking the four night cruise on the Dream. However, with my wife being 12 weeks pregnant and we were seeing more reports of Zika in Florida and Nassau, we made the difficul decision to cancel our trip out of an abundanc of caution.

On a happy note, we were able to change our trip to the Magic cruise out of New York the following week which we are super excited about since we still get our Disney cruise (even get an extra night on the cruise!). With that said, we were stuck getting the second seating and a port arrival time of 1pm.

My question is, I into people have said they were successful in requesting a change to their dinner seating once on board, but has anyone had success in changing a party of 3 to the main seating when they have a later port arrival time?

Call Disney now are request to be put on the waiting list for early dining.

Thanks for the advice Weedy. We booked through DVC and any requests have to be made through them. I was told at booking by DVC that we are on the wait list, but where we are a week away now I'm not feel confident in seeing it switched before we sail.

My biggest concern is how my DD is typically in bed and asleep at 7 back home. I know schedules change on vacation, but I'm not sure she will sit well eating dinner so late at night having the second seating.

They really try and accommodate everyone. They don't start taking changes until 12:30. It will be in one of the restaurants onboard. It will be listed in the Navigator where to go. Typically They go to an open boarding about 12:30 (New York may be different because it's a newer port). So you could show up a little earlier and get on a little early.
