Dinner Rotations

How is it that some people know their dinner rotations? Others seem to be able to guess at theirs. Is their some secret to all this. Would love to know what rotation we are on to help plan better.

From what I've read, anyone is able to "request" a certain rotation. It's just not guaranteed. Other than that, it looks like it's based on the ages of your children. I found this thread that may help you out http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=631124

Hi...

When I booked with my ta for this coming january, she immediately told me there was no more early dining available. I guess they know it when they go in to quote you. I was also told that because my son has cancer, that if I get a note from the doctor that says he needs to eat at a certain time...then they will accomodate that somehow. He doesnt need to eat early so therefore we plan to keep the evening. Had the early last cruise...want to try the later!

Yes, your seating time will be known when you make your reservation, however it's the restaurant rotation itself that's a mystery. You won't know that until your keys to the world cards are issued at check-in. Many Dis'ers have put their experiences together and it appears as though DCL groups diners together based on the ages of their children.

I know my rotation for my November cruise, but I believe that is because I am travelling with a fairly large group, i.e., the TA was able to book the whole group's rotation.
