My niece said that we make all of our dinner reservations once we get on the ship. I read something here that led me to believe that it could/should be done in advance? Can someone straighten me out?!

Also, I read something about a brunch at Palo's. How do you arrange that and how does it work into the dining plan? (From what I understand we visit each restaurant once except since we will be there four nights we hit one restaurant twice?) I am going on a family cruise with 20 people and am not planning it so I have limited info. at this time as you can tell!) :)

The only dinner reservations you make on board are for Palo, the adults-only alternative restaurant. Your dinners in the main dining rooms are pre-scheduled. You're correct, you do rotate through the restaurants each night. You'll find out your specific rotation once on board.

Brunch at Palo is on the sea day only, I believe. You can make reservations for this when you make reservations for dinner at Palo. It does not have any effect on your regular rotation, although your rotation may effect which night you choose to dine at Palo.

You can book Palo reservations in advance of the cruise under two circumstances (as far as I can tell). One, if you're booked in a suite (Categories 1, 2 or 3), or two, if you purchase the "Romantic Escape at Sea" package, which allows you priority reservations at Palo, as well as a few other perks. For more info on this, see the Disney Cruise Line page which describes it.

Hope this helps.

On the 7 Day Western, Palo Brunch is also available on Sunday prior to arriving at Key West.

Thank you! I better understand how it works now and realize that there isn't anything I can do ahead of time, I'll just wait until we get on board and see what our rotation is.

Once you get your KTTW you'll see the code on it stating which rotation you have PLAPLAP and i think the table size etc, if it's not what you want then you can see the dining manager in the same place you book palos and request a change, not always possible but doesn't hurt to ask.
