Dinner reservations - last 2 weeks in August.

Hi there everyone, well its been quite a while since I have posted on here but now our little devil of a 2 year old son is old enough to travel the 8 hours across the atlantic we are back at villas of wilderness lodge in just 18 days! We are DVC members and after doing a few sums decided to add the DDP to our reservation my question is really this - when I called member services last night I could only book a few dinners and or breakfast with most things coming up full ie no reservations at Ohanas none at Le Cellier none at 1900 Park Fayre etc now if we can't get reservations anywhere it sort of defeats the plan really. So having never been in August before (school holidays now dictate that that is when we must travel) what are the chances of getting reservations either on the day or by keep calling over the next few days. We have pretty much flexibility but with a 2 year old and 5 year old don't really want to have to be eating at 9 o clock ish. Hope as always you can help with thoughts and ideas. Take Care Nigel

Definitely keep calling. I called a few days ago for a Liberty Tree Tavern for the week of August 20-27 and was told everything was full. I kept calling back and was finally given 2 choices of times which were both quite decent. Good luck!

Keep trying. People cancel all the time.

I haven't even cancelled my ADRs for Aug. 13-19 yet...and all of those dinners are between 6:00-7:00 p.m. Probably going to do that on Thursday.

What adrs are you going to cancel? I will be there from Aug 15-21. I have my adrs booked but was thinking I might switch some things around,
