Dinner reservations available- suddenly!

We will be going in just under 3 weeks (19 days to be exact :goodvibes) and I had been looking for a dinner in DHS for the longest time and couldn't find anything. Then voila, this morning I was able to find times for both Mama Melrose and 50's PT, it was a tough decision but I chose 50's only because the kids really wanted to go back there when I asked which one they wanted. I understand the whole people deciding whether they are going to cancel their trip or not (that is how I am able to get ADRs through stalking the website), and I am not saying it is because of Disney Dining Buddy either (that is a different beast due to how their system is set up), however, it seems all so coincidental that the day after Disney announces they are shutting down these websites, that suddenly popped up, there are ADRs that are showing up. I am so happy we can all get back to tweaking our ADRs and being the OCD planners that we all have become and love:banana:.

Precisely the reason I like Dining Scout. I just simply don't have the time or patience to stalk the website

I was trying to fine tune our reservations, and I noticed there were some more reservations available today. I saw a couple times available at '50s Primetime Cafe for dinners over our dates.

I still haven't been able to adjust our reservations for 4 that should be reservations for 5. And we have a dinner reservation at the Plaza on 10/10 that is way to early (3:00)

I was at MK last week and had BOG ressies that I booked months in advance. The next day I was looking for a place to eat and BOG had a lot of breakfast and lunch openings.

The current influx of reservations are almost certainly not because "these sites" (just one we know of, btw) have been shut down. Instead, look at the timing... FP time for those going during the November has come and gone, plans are solidifying, the 45 day mark for what possibly could be the most slammed November ever has hit for a lot of people, and runners were officially allowed to start deferring for Wine and Dine. All that equals a lot of reservations being dropped.

I have no idea if it's related to Dining Buddy or other sites- but today just now there are literally dozens of reservations available for our desired day/time.

The "big" character meals are not available, and we aren't going to a park on our arrival day anyway. But suddenly California Grill, Kona, etc all appear.

It's just me and my 5 year old GS. I'd like to take him for a monorail ride, so either the Contemporary or Poly would be great. He's not picky, but he won't probably want to eat sushi. Otherwise, he'll do just fine.

The Wave at the CR is also available.

I have never heard of it, so was wondering if anybody can tell me if it's a decent value and if we can still ride the monorail and look around the resort before or after dinner? We'd drive over.

I didn't mean Dining Buddy per se- just whatever was "hogging" up a ton of reservations suddenly just let loose. Before, there wasn't even a restaurant onsite that showed availablity- now there are bunches plus the Candlelight processional packages. There is still no BOG or Chef Mickey's, but I was able to find a TS restaurant for each day of our stay suddenly this afternoon.

Disney Dining Buddy is the only site that shut down, it didn't book any reservations for guests. So no "hogging" of ADRs as you suggest, instead this idea below is a far more plausible theory than blaming the boogey man that isn't actually there.

Dis Dining Agent (not affiliated with this site) had been open for view by anyone when the article came out and was very active on Twitter. Now their website is down for maintenance and is password protected.

Another one, Disney Dining Scout, has not made any announcements, but people are posting one their Facebook page that the app is no longer working and no one from the company is replying to them.

So, there may be one company that has been public about being told to stop. That doesn't mean others haven't also and just not said snything.

Dis Dining Agent now has the following statement:

We have received word from Disney and are altering our service to meet their requests. DDA will be back next week. Anyone who has a pending transaction will receive an email on Monday.

How on earth will they "alter" the system without still violating Disney's terms? I am very happy to see them go.

I've gotten multiple Disney Dining Scout notifications today and yesterday, so it's still working. I also reached out to WDW Tools on Twitter and they said they had not been contacted by Disney.

I still think this may be more about companies using "Disney" in their company name than the service they provide.

Yup, I just found a whole heap for my dates in November that were not there for the past 140 days! Even BoG!

I have been checking for BOG breakfast week before Thanksgiving many many times daily. No luck so far

I've been looking for a MM with F! for months and had Dining Buddy searching for it. I also had WDW tools looking for it. This morning I was notified 3 times from WDW tools that some had opened up. I logged in an hour after the last notification and was able to get the exact time I've been looking for. So something happened, but it wasn't Dining Buddy.
