Dinner Reservations at Theme Parks

I'm starting to book our dinning for trip in June. We will have the dining plan so I usually do dinner reservations for our table service meal. I'm thinking about making reservations at one of Epcots restaurants. If I make a reservation for 8:50pm, what happens if park closes earlier than reservation?

Be sure to be in the park before close.

But Epcot won't close before 9. Sunset isn't even until after 8 most of June, which is a limiter for Illuminations. And yes, if the park closes at 9, you will be allowed to dine at your leisure with an 8:50ADR.
