Dinner reservation in one park, park reservation in another park?

We made reservations for Epcot for the middle of November on a Wednesday. The app let my husband make a dinner reservation in MK for that same day. Will they let us in MK for that reservation? I'm thinking no and it was a glitch. Can anyone confirm?

TIA!

The ‘no park hopping’ definitely made making dining reservations hard for our upcoming trip!! We never do the same park twice in one day and love to go elsewhere for dinner. I can’t wait for park hopping to come back.

It's not a glitch, it's a design choice. Dining reservations are, and have always been, completely disconnected from all other aspects of MDE except that having a resort reservation will allow you to make ADRs for your entire trip starting on check in day. Likewise, the Park Reservation system is completely separate other than, again, having a resort reservation will allow those reservations to be taken from the Resort Guests bucket.

Too much effort, and no benefit to Disney, to connect the systems together to prevent a guest from making an ADR in a park for which they don't have a Park Reservation.

Exactly. It's just like park tickets and ADRs. You can make an in park ADR with no tickets linked to your account, but if you don't have a ticket you can't get into the park to get to the restaurant.

Hi - we always park hop too, but since everything is different for now - we made a lot of our dinner reservations at a resort near the park we are at on a certain day. Like the day we are at AK, we have a reservation at Sanaa. Decided this is the year to try restaurants we've never been to before! Epcot day is, of course, dinner at Epcot. Disney Studios day is at Disney Springs and MK day (twice) is at the Wave and California Grill. I'm still searching daily to see if other things open up. Did just see today that two restaurants at the Dolphin now have available reservations. I say - just go with the flow knowing the trip will be different this time around, but seeing that things are changing every day at Disney -- who knows what will be open come vacation time!

Sounds like a great plan! When it comes to restaurants at Disney, we have our favorites and feel like they’re part of our vacation, so I just kept checking until I got everything I wanted!! Some of mine are at hotels too, but even they were hard to get this time around! Enjoy!
