Dinner reservation for MVMCP at park close

Hi, we are visiting WDW in early Dec. I have a reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern at 5:55PM on a day the park closes at 6PM for MVMCP. We do not have tickets to the MVMCP. Do you think they will let me keep my reso and make my way out of the park? I was hoping it might be a nice way to see some of the Christmas décor without springing for the extra tickets.

Yeah, You already have the reservation, and the park doesn't close till 6, so you should be fine. Last time I went to a party they were asking ppl without party wristbands to leave, so once you finish eating just head straight for the entrance.

Once you finish eating, you will either be escorted to the front or be asked to make your way there with CMs along the way continuing to "encourage" you toward the exit. Suggest you use the restroom before leaving the restaurant. You won't see anything you hadn't already seen during the day except the lights along Main St.

The park closes at 6pm but the party does not start until 7pm.
Non party guests are allowed to shop and eat between 6pm and 7pm.

Don't count on seeing any more decor than usual. After your meal you will be escorted to the front and out of the park. No restrooms and no shopping. If you want to see more you'll need to purchase party tickets.

Jumping in on this thread to ask a related question... we have tickets to MVMCP and we're going to be at MK in the afternoon, then we are heading to The Wave for dinner at 5pm. I feel like we timed it well to be back at 7 for the party. My question is where do we get our bands for the party, and can we get them at MK before we leave for dinner?

I feel like we timed it well to be back at 7 for the party. My question is where do we get our bands for the party, and can we get them at MK before we leave for dinner?

When we were there for MNSSHP, they had wristband check in spots in Tomorrowland (by Monsters, Inc.) and in Adventureland (right across from POTC). Not sure if they will change it for MVMCP, but they will definitely start handing out wristbands at 4 pm.

Are you planning on any of the special character meet and greets? If so, you're going to be at the end of the line by the time you get back from dinner.

At the main entrance they have separate tap points designated just for party entry, with CMs giving out wristbands just after you pass through. We've picked up our wristbands both inside the park and at the main entrance and found either way to move pretty quickly.

I have park tickets and party tickets how early can i pick up mine and DH wrist band for party we will be in the park already. We will be glfing that morning and will arrive to the park around 2 with a fastpass at 230 and ADR at 350

They won't have them until 4:00-4:30.
