I'm going to try for a HBD ADR for the night we plan to see the lights. IF I can get an ADR, what time should I try for? We prefer to eat on the late side, but will try for an earlier ADR, if the timing works better. FYI, the park closes at 8:00 pm that evening, & we won't be going to see F!. TIA for your advice. :flower3:

I called & booked an 8:00 pm ADR. I don't know how that will work with the park closing at 8:00. Hopefully, it won't be a problem. They also had 7:00 pm available, but I thought that would interfere with viewing the lights, plus we like eating later. What do you think?

That's what we had last year. You're best bet is too see the lights before eating, then enjoy a leisurely dinner. We were the last seating at HBD when we did it and it was wonderful! The park was empty when we finished dinner. Boats & busses were still running but we walked back to BWV because we were so full from dinner and the boat ramp was still packed.

Thanks for sharing your experience. :) Was your ADR for 8:00 on an evening when the park closed at 8:00? It makes me feel better to know a meal that late will work fine. We'll definitely see the lights 1st. I'm hoping we can have a leisurely meal & not be rushed. That would be a perfect evening. :cloud9:

We had a 7:50pm ADR and the park closed at 8pm. No rush on dinner at all. The restaurant was pretty empty and quiet. The only issue was DD had planned to have the roasted chicken, and our waitress came back to say they had run out. It actually worked out for the best. Our waitress was wonderful, convinced DD to try the roasted pork rib chop, said she would get her the sides that came with the chicken and promised that she would like it or she'd get her something else to eat. It ended up being her favorite meal and she still raves about it :thumbsup2

Thanks again for the info. I wonder why they gave us 8:00 pm & you 7:50 pm. We had the best meal of our trip at HBD last weekend. I'm looking forward to another fabulous meal & the Osborne lights. :yay:
