Which one should we pick??? We want to be close to MK on PPP night so we can skip on over right after a 5:00 PM dinner :moped:

1900 PF or Chef Mickey pirate:

with a cast of 4 adults and 2 girls ages 12 & 14 in which the 14 yo has been to Disney several times and the 12 yo once when she was too little to remember. I'm thinking the food is better at 1900 and the characters are better @ Mickey but I'm leaning towards 1900. :confused3

We're doing Chef Mickey's for the August 21 PPP!! We have a 5:30 ADR. The kiddos will change into Pirate and Princess gear after dinner and we'll head over to MK by 7:30!!

SO excited for the PPP!!!princess: pirate:

1900 Rehab -
"1900 Park Fare will be closed for refurbishment from July 9 thru October 1. During this time, the Grand Floridian Cafe will be hosting the Character meals. (Lunch at the Cafe is temporarily discontinued)"

If not being in Park Fare makes a difference to you (I've read the food will be very different due to capability of Cafe) you may want to go with CM.

Found what I saw....
"UPDATE: The Grand Floridian Resort's 1900 Park Fare will close for refurbishment Monday, July 9, 2007, through Monday, October 1, 2007, and is scheduled to reopen October 2, 2007. During this time, the Grand Floridian Cafe will become the site for both the "Supercalifragilistic Breakfast" and "Cinderella's Gala Feast." These will both be character meals, but NOT buffets (as they are at 1900 Park Fare) -- they will be pre-plated character meals.

The a la carte menu usually offered at Grand Floridian Cafe will NOT be available there during this time. Citricos (located on the second floor of the Grand Floridian), however, will expand its hours and menu to include a la carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. If you want to dine at the Grand Floridian Cafe during this time, it can be ONLY for the character breakfast or character dinner -- you will NOT be able to book a reservation otherwise."

I asked the CM and they said the food was the same but that's definitely something to think about if not. I knew they were doing it in the Cafe vs. the actual restaurant but hmmmmm interesting. Does anyone know any more details about whether the food will be the same?
