I have checked out the dinner menu's on WDW's website. It isn't very appealing. Is the sample menu the typical options or are there options that are not listed?

Thanks
Kathy

Howdy,
we have done 7 disney cruises and each time the menu varied from the last time. They always have a steak, and chicken and vegetarian dish no matter what. But the other items do changed fairly often.
There are a few things that do not change, such as one night they will always have lobster tails or escargo, or ribs etc.. These are a few things that people expect to have sometime on their cruise. They have always had baked alaska and cherries jubilee every cruise, but other desserts have changed a lot.
Hope this helps some. The food really is quite good.

Wow! That is a relief. There was no steak or chicken on any of the sample menus (or lobster). The items you listed are much better than what I checked out.

Thanks so much,
Kathy

The beef tenderloin is fantastic too.
I havnt looked at the sample menu's, but believe me there is plenty of great foods to try. The snack trays outside the clubs at night have some pretty tasty treats too. If you do a 7 day cruise they have a midnight dessert buffet that is out of this world!!! 2 long rows of all kinds of desserts. Even sugar free selections. My daughters favorite part of the cruise.

on our 2nd cruise we actually took pictures of all the different dishes we tried and I made an album of food pictures, I know there was also duck, and lamb, several fish meals, lobster tails ( biggest I've ever seen) They will give you all you want. 3 types of steaks, 2 pork dishes, 5 or 6 chicken dishes, 3 different steak meals, and much, much more. At the lunch buffet one day they had a whole shoulder of beef that melted in your mouth.. They cut it for you as you go through the line so you can ask for as much as you want. For breakfast at the buffet they also have an egg bar where they will cook you eggs or omelets any way you want.
The restaurants are open at lunch too, but we always do the buffet. Each day has a different theme to it, American, Seafood, Italian etc... It was GREAT!!!!! Had to take many walks around the jogging path on deck 4!!!!!

Steak, chicken, and a vegetarian selection are available every day in addition to what is on the menu. There is a little note on the menu that lists these items each night...it's off to the side somewhere. If there is an item available in one of the other restaurant, frequently your server will be able to get it for you. They really do try to meet requests.

For example, one night DD wanted a hamburger--I later found that someone had been sent to Pluto's to get it as the restaurant didn't have it that night. Our server found out that she likes broccoli--every night, she got a small dish of broccoli, no matter what else she ordered and was served.

I'll echo the fact that the menus are upgraded on a regular basis. I've never been at a lack for something good. If you don't like anything else, there's always a steak and baked potato.....

also you can order anything from the kids menu...our last night on board we were tired of all the fancy food and we noticed the kids had fried mozzerella cheese sticks as a choice on their menu...all of us and out tablemates ordered cheese sticks for our appetizers! our servers thought we were insane!!!! :rotfl:

The menus on WDW's website may not be the same as the menus on board the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder. You can see scans of actual menus at castawayclub dot com. They are a bit out of date, but will give you a better idea of what to expect on your cruise.
