Hoping for suggestions (we are at YC with PH on regular dining plan):

Jan 30 Raglan Rd (before La Nouba)
Feb 1 Spice Rd Table
Feb 2 Akershus
Feb 3 Chefs de France
Feb 4 Kona Cafe (break from MK before heading back for Wishes and electrical parade)
Feb 5 Tokyo Dining

Just not sure of Spice Rd Table - 6:55 ADR hoping to get good seat for Illuminations and stretch out the meal with appetizer and drinks OOP. But 2 hrs with a 5 yr old?

Have never done Biergarten but lot of people have that in their WDW top 10. Thinking of switching Spice Rd Table to Biergarten.......

I can comment on Raglan, Chefs and Kona all of which are musts for us.

I would change to Biergarden

Yep, I'm leaning this way and you have helped! Thanks

Anyone have experience with Tokyo Dining? The menu is similar to an authentic Japanese restaurant my wife and I enjoyed in our previous locale. Although the restaurant decor seems meh. Anyone with positive reports?

Spice Road table has better appetizers than meals from what I've read. I would do Biergarten myself because I like the German food there. It's also something that I can't find easily in my area.

We had a great experience there in September. While I've had more authentic food elsewhere, Tokyo Dining was solid and the service great. Plus we loved the views of the world showcase.

We've dined at Tokyo Dining several times and I agree with Kastoney . The food and service are good and so are the views.

We've eaten at all of your picks. Spice Rd is very good, IMO, including the entrees, but with a child that young, I think trying to stretch your ADR to over 2 hours isn't very realistic. Biergarten would be a better choice. There are some decent viewing areas for Illuminations nearby.

My 5 year old would vote for Biergarten all night long. It is her #1 pick for our upcoming trip in May.

Anyone with positive reports?[/QUOTE] We had dinner at TD last Feb. and July and loved it both times. The atmosphere is wonderful, a world away from a "theme park". I think your 5 year old would love it (assuming they like Japanese food). The CMs are wonderful with children.
