Dinner in the park after park closes?

I've been trying to get a Mama Melrose reservation on Thanksgiving night. The park closes at 8:00 pm. Yesterday I managed to snag a Sci-Fi reservation for 8:20 pm.

I never heard of the restaurants being open that late after a park closing. Is this normal, because I just don't get it?

DH and I usually try to get reservations at Brown Derby at 8:00 p.m. when the DHS closes at 8...it makes leaving and getting on the bus a much more easy, enjoyable experience! So, yes, we've done this.

My girlfriend and I are in love with ADR's after park closings. We especially like late ADR's at places in the WS in EPCOT. The walks back to the buses after the meal are so nice and peaceful. There is no rush to leave the parks and it makes for some great photo ops without too many people getting in the way.

What time do CS restaurants close? We wanted to have Flame Tree BBQ one day for supper but of course the AK closes so early we don't want to eat at 4....but we will of course if that's as late as they are open.

I was wondering the same thing. Has anyone ever had a problem getting back to their resort by bus way after closing?
