Can someone give me some good restaurants in the Sea World area for Thanksgiving? We are staying at the Residence Inn and will be there on Thanksgiving Day and still have no idea at all of where to eat. This will be our first ever off site stay so we really have no idea of any restaurants at all.

Thanks!

Will you be going to Seaworld that day? I would think the dining w/ Shamu would be great. Otherwise are you looking for a non-chain place to dine? Something that doesn't fall into the Perkins, Denny's, Ruby Tuesday's, type of line.

The Peabody has two choices. They have Thanksgiving brunch in Capriccio, which is their regular brunch with turkey and trimmings added, that runs 10 or 11-4. They are also offering the ala carte menu in Dux with a turkey dinner added as an entree.

We're doing the brunch. Yum!

First off, thank you so much for all your information and help.

Yes, we are going to be in Sea World that day. We have the 6 Hour Adventure Tour booked so will be there for most of the day. Do you still think that eating there is a good choice or will we be ready to get out of there by the time the tour is over?

We also like the idea of The Peabody but will they still be serving dinner by the time we are ready to eat?

I am so confused about what to do. Maybe we should just scrap the traditional turkey family dinner for that day. (although I am not sure the other people traveling with me will go for that) Thanks again for all your help.

Oh yeah, we are absolutely looking for a non chain type of a place. Either a nice sit down or buffett will do.

Dux isn't even starting to serve dinner until 5 or 6 pm. They do have a dress code at the Peabody, it is fine dining. Capriccio would be business casual in the true sense (not WDW's) with long slacks and sport shirts for men, casual dresses or pantsuits for women, and similar for kids. Dux requests jackets for men and suitable dinner attire for women, and is not appropriate for many younger children.

Since you are going to be at Sea World, I would recomend The Smoke House Grill at Westgate Lakes Resort. They will be serving a Thanksgiving Day Dinner. I have no idea of how much is it, probably in the $25.00 range. But the dinner is good. The place is open until 10:00 PM. Would that help?
