Dinner for Mom & Dad - kids?

My husband just asked if we can get away for a dinner by ourselves - we are staying at PopCentury and I am not sure I am open to "babysitting" in our room - where could we go to have dinner while the kids did something. I know there are some resorts that have group activities. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Not sure how old your kids are, but mine loved the Neverland Club when they were 4 and 7....... and we got away for a nice adult meal at MGM and a couple of thrill rides. There are several kids clubs at various resorts.... not sure if you have to be staying at that resort to use them....

As far as I know you have to be a Disney resort guest to use the kids clubs. It doesnt matter which resort however.If you go that route you need to make reservations.

I've been checking into the kids clubs, and I think they are open to all WDW resort guests. I think that most (all?) of the deluxe resorts have them. Cost seems to be about $10/hr per kid with dinner included. I'm getting varying reports on whether there is a minimum stay (4 hours) or not. Also I believe that one of the Swan/Dolphin area restaurants has 2 hours of free childcare when you eat there. Maybe Shula's steakhouse?

We have used Sandcastle Club (in BC) twice while staying at BWI. I don't think there was a four hour minimum there. We used that one because it looked bigger than the Harbor Club at BWI, then the second time the Harbor Club was closed, not sure if it is reopened or not. Your children must be 4 or older. The kids had dinner there, typical kids choices but came with fresh fruit and french fries! If you use Sandcastle you have all of the Epcot area restaurants to choose from. We ate once at Les Chefs in France and the other at Marakkesh in Morocco. Both were good!
