We will be arriving at the airport in Orlando ~4:00pm. We will be picking up our rental car and driving to WBC to check in. Only plans for the first evening is grocery shopping, unpacking, checking out resort. I was thinking we would check in, bring in luggage, then going grocery shopping. I had thought I would buy something easy at store for dinner (rotisserie chicken), but now I'm thinking it might be pretty late by the time I get back from store. Maybe we could order Giordanos delivery as we are checking in, eat, and then I could go to store later. Opinions? The Publix closest to WBC will be open after 9:00 on a Saturday?

We got in to MCO at 5pm this year, and we drove right to a quick restaurant, had dinner, and then checked in to WBC and unpacked. Once done, we went grocery shopping around 8pm (which was nice b/c it was empty - we go to the Winn Dixie:).

The publix I go to near WBC is open until 11 p.m.

I would just see how it goes and how hungry you are. There is no shortage of options for eating.

We always do a resort dinner on arrival day and most of the time it is Boma. We check in and then head to AKL to view the savannas and have dinner.

If you are going to Publix they made very good subs. I always try to get one when I'm back in Florida. If that is the route you want to go you can grab one to go. If you go to the Publix near Celebration you could grab it to go and enjoy in by the water there. It is a very easy drive and that is the Publix we always aim for when on property. It is located at Water Tower Place, 29 Blake Blvd, Celebration, FL 34747

I say play it by ear when you arrive. If you're tired or the weather is bad, eating in with a simple dinner is fine. However, even with driving from the airport, checking in and grocery shopping, it should take more than 3 hours, so that would make it 7pm. Still early enough to enjoy a nice night out.

Check out Celebration or have dinner at either Bonefish or Texas Roadhouse, or even Steak 'n Shake.
