The day after we arrive, and are jetlagged from Sydney I was hoping to pop into MK for a few hours.

Given it would probably be a MNSSHP party night (Saturday), and not the one we would be attending, are we still able to eat an early dinner at Crystal Palace? Or do we need to leave the park by a certain time?

You have to leave the park by 7pm on a MNSSHP night without a party ticket. You should still be able to have dinner at CP anytime before that, although in my experience, they start actively shuffling people without armbands toward the front of the park between 6 and 7.

Thanks Tinkgirl - I'll add that to my list then for an early dinner that Saturday night. I was thinking around 5pm so the times shouldn't be an issue.

DH and I actually had dinner ressies at Tony's on a MNSSHP night and it overlapped a bit past 7PM. We were not hassled in any way to leave, but we did exit as soon as we finished. It was our first look at some of the costumes people came up with and was fun to see how elaborate some of them were. We were very impressed! So, go to Crystal Palace and enjoy and don't worry overly about the time. As a side note, when we went to MVMCP this past December, we were only asked to show our wrist bands when we were getting on rides. Don't know if that's always the case, but that was our experience. Have a magical trip!

MNSSHP are usually tues, thurs, fri and sunday - not saturday.

Last year it was on Saturdays, and Touring Plans has it projected to be on Saturdays this year as well. Maybe that started last year? It would make sense to do it on Saturdays to draw in more locals.

We did that last trip during MVMCP on our arrival night. We had a 6:45ish ADR at Tony's and it wasn't a problem, but we left as soon as we finished dinner.

So, they are now double selling tickets on all days except Mon & Wed??? That makes your tickets only worth full value two days a week. Three were bad enough!

Bad math. On party days your ticket is good for 10 hours. On most days it is good for 12 hours. Hardly half a day. And if you love the hard ticket events like I do, it's wonderful. We actually like to do MK on the party days and spend 15-16 hours in MK. We did this for MVMCP in '09 and MNSSHP last September. Works out great.

Sorry for the confusion - it wasn't on the saturday when we were there in October.

Just checked and it's not predicted for Saturday 15th or 22nd October this year either.

Even though the parties can happen those nights, doesn't mean they happen all of them each week. I think it's typically 2-3 nights per week.
