I think I've read in other posts that there are restaurants in NOS that you can eat dinner at and watch Fantasmic. Or maybe it was just places that had tables that you could sit at. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so which ones? Unfortunately my budget doesn't allow for the Fantasmic buffet.
Thanks,
Cathy

The Riverbelle Terrace and the French Market have tables outside that face the Rivers of America. You can get a really good view at some of the tables to at the Riverbelle, but from the ones at the French Market too many trees and lightposts that block your view.

I'm not sure how early you would need to camp out at the Riverbelle to get a table, but I'd bet anything you'd have better success trying for the 2nd showing.

My wife and I just visited DL and found an interesting way to eat dinner and watch the fireworks at night. First, we had a hotel that had a balcony that faced the park. Then, after we left the park that day, my wife went to the hotel and I went to Denny's and ordered some dinner and appetisers. It does not sound like a very romantic dinner, but it was really good. When I got back we sat out on the balcony and ate our dinner and watched the fireworks. Kind of a cool thing to do after a fun day at the greatest theme park in the world. This will also allow you to REST a little before the next day. ::MickeyMo

The night I saw fantasmic, the RBT closed the outside seating area sometime before the 2nd fantasmic show. I know this, because we went there to eat, after seeing the first fantasmic show. We were going to sit outside, and found it was roped off, and we were not allowed to sit there.
We listened to the fireworks sound effects (music and bangs) while we ate.
The next night we saw the fireworks from a spot where we could view the front of the castle.

I think the DL cast likes people to just stay seated, for fantasmic, to view the fireworks. But so much is missed (at least from the ground seats right by the water, maybe the balcony has a view of the front of the castle).
It is almost impossible to move very far, after the first fantasmic show, while the fireworks are going on. So we decided to eat and then escape the park later, and see the fireworks the next night.
