Dinner Dilemma, where to go after wedding?

I don't have a clue where to go for dinner after the wedding.

We are having the Memories package wedding with 6 guests. My Dad is such a fussy eater, he's the type that won't touch a sandwich if there's mayonnaise on it, he loves cheese and tomatoes but hates pizza. So yeah he's quite hard to accomodate sometimes.

We have a 1pm wedding

Iam the type of person who loves Steak and pizzas and all you can eat buffets as opposed to a $60 meal at Victoria and Alberts. Plus I have a 2 year old who can at the best of times be hard to handle. I would be embarassed to take her anywhere posh she would totally show me up in front of people.

Would it be tacky to go to a buffet style restaurant and eat pizza in my wedding dress? I dont want to feel out of place.

Where did everyone else go? I don't want anything too expensive or extravagant thanks x

PS I would love one of the desserts where they write on your plate "Congratulations" in chocolate sauce. So cool

Why don't you look at the Captains Grille at Yacht Club. They should be able to cater to your needs and you can check out their menus online Tutti Italia do pizza and now have steak on their menu and can cook anything on their menu to order so you can get things as you like them We've done both with kids and they were great! We got balloons given to us as a surprise in cptn grille on our anniversary. Really friendly places
At the end of the day its whatever makes you happy-its your day so I wouldn't worry too much about what others think

I had a similar problem. I am having a memories wedding in August. We are going to the Grand Floridian Cafe. My wedding coordinator said that lots of brides go there and it is a nice setting so we won't feel out of place in our wedding clothes. I am vegetarian and was concerned about the limited choice so our coordinator has asked the chef what they can to for me specially. I'm sure they could do the same for you. Good luck!

The easiest places to get to from the Polynesian would be the Grand Floridian's 1900 Park Fare and Grand Floridian Cafe, or the Contemporary's Chef Mickey's—all of which serve very straight-ahead American food and can accommodate special requests if you contact them in advance. your best bet would be to get a cab-probably $20 or so

You could take a cab or a boat over to Wilderness Lodge (monorail from Poly to Contemporary) They have a more casual dining Whispering Canyon and a fabulous restaurant called Artist Point.

We're getting married (also memories collection) at Wilderness Lodge and then having dinner at Artist Point after. WL is also a beautiful place for photographs!

I wouldn't worry about whether or not it's a buffet, most of the weddings that I've photographed dinner was served on a buffet line.

I was going to say Whispering Canyon as well. It's super fun and it's served family style at the table. Plus you can get some cool pics around the Wilderness Lodge in your dress!

I've reviewed all the restaurants above and Iam being swayed toward the Grand Floridian, simply because its within walking distance and I HAVE wanted pics taken on the big staircase and in front of the huge chandeliers
