Dinner, compare the 2. Boma and TH

We have been to Boma dinner and did not like it at all...how does TH compare? Are the food offerings and flavors the same?

Very different. TH is a basic buffet...good food, but no African theme to what is served. Carved beef and pork, fried chicken, salad bar, dessert bar, etc.

We tried Boma and my family was ok with it. I however, did not like the flavors. But at Tusker H we all enjoyed it very much. I think the spices at Boma was very overwhelming spices vs. at Tusker House. The carved meat had some flavor but not where your senses was overloaded with whatever spices that was rubbed on the meat at Boma. Great atmosphere at Boma but for our family...been there, did that...don't have return any time soon.

Now that being said, we will be trying breakfast at Boma this fall for the first time...since we are staying AKV during F&W. Heard the breakfast had lots of fresh & traditional selection.

Ahh, now I get it. I'd go with Boma for a couple of reasons - I think there are more choices there and its fun to wander around AKL.

We actually prefer TH over Boma. My picky eater hated almost everything at Boma, and would only eat the chicken nuggets and mac and cheese. The spices were a little too funky for her. TH is pretty tame fare, so it is really great for picky eaters. I would definitely try it if you have never been before.

We ate at Boma's over Spring Break this year and I loved it. That being said my wife and 6 year old son did not. They do not like different food.

I really enjoyed it but I and not afraid to try different foods. The servers working the buffet lines were very helpful.

We will try something different next time...but not because we did not like Boma's.
