Anyone have photos of what you wear to dinner in Alaska? Bonus points for Formal Night.

We typically do sundresses or capris on our Caribbean cruises, but I don't think that will fit as well in Alaska.

Yes, saw jeans and khakis. We did Alaska on HAL, but everyone was really dressed down. I refused to bring formal wear to Alaska and if it had been too formal at dinner, we would have just done the buffet.

I wore dresses every night to dinner. I don't have fancy formal gown, but knee-length dresses with embellishment. I am in causal clothing everyday. Really dress down on land vacation in the summer heat. I am definitely dressing up a bit on my sea vacation.

I wore jeans and t-shirt or sweater every night. On formal and semi-formal night I wore a dress.

Usually what I was wearing that day (jeans and t-shirt), changed the t-shirt to a slightly nicer short sleeve shirt after a long port day. A casual dress for semi-formal, formal dress for formal night.

Love it -- we always get matching themed shirts for our embarkation pics -- it's my favorite souvenir. And that is one of the best Jack Sparrow's I've seen!

Thanks! He was FANTASTIC! He saw our shirts and disdainfully said, 'matching shirts, cheeky.'

During one of our voyages we saw a whole family dressed as The Incredibles and the costumes were very impressive.

As soon as I learn how to post pics on here, lol.
We dressed for dinner every night. Skirts for me mostly, DH wore either a button up or a Polo.

When we decided to stop packing all the formal formal wear, we just started taking a dress shirt and tie for hubby, and a skirt and blouse for me and my daughter. We accessorize with different scarves or shawls so we can get two wears out of one outfit to save space.

That was the great thing about Alaska. Because you weren't hot and sweaty, you didn't have to shower before dinner, which meant you didn't have to change if you didn't want to. It meant it was (for us anyway) such a relaxing trip, no mad rush to get us all showered and changed for dinner, we could just take it easy. Overall the only real dressing up I saw was on the formal nights...

We only changed for formal night and semi-formal night. We brought clothes for all the other nights too, but we found ourselves not changing for dinner as the cruise progressed.
