Do you get to meet characters at the dinners?

For example- does bell come to Lumiere's? Will rupunzel stop at all the tables at Rapunzel royal table? I'm actually having a hard time finding this information..

On the Magic Sorcerer Mickey will come through the dining room in Animator's Palette but he does not stop at the tables. In Rapunzel's Royal Table Rapunzel and Flynn will greet at the tables throughout dinner and will take photos but they do not sign autograph books. There is no show or characters in Lumiere's.

At Rapunzel's Royal Table, there are two types of shows, depending on how long your cruise is.

The first time you are in the restaurant it will be Thugs and Rapunzel celebrating her birthday. The Irish band from O'Gills will play music and Rapunzel and Thugs do a song and dance. The entertainment happens between the courses. You go into the restaurant and order your starters. The first act happens when the starters are brought to the table and you eat. Then there is a gap when the servers clear away, then when the main course come out, there is more entertainment. Then there is another break, and then the last part happens at desert.

The second show, which only happens on cruises 7 nights or longer, is similar to the first one, but this is the lantern show. Again it will be the Irish band from O'Gills, with Rapunzel and Flynn.

For both shows, no Rapunzel does not go around to meet at the tables. Rapunzel is a singer, performer.

No, Belle and Beast are not in Lumieries. There is no dinner entertainment in this restaurant, just the theming.

In Animators Palate, the first show is animations on the screens during the meal. The room will change colours. Then at the end, Sorcerer Mickey will make an appearance. He does not go around to the tables. He will do a walk around part of the restaurant to Fantasmic music.

The second show, which only happens on cruises 7 nights or longer, is the magic drawing show.

Were you on recently? We just did the Magic 2 weeks ago and both Flynn and Rapunzel went around greeting at the tables and stopping for pictures between songs. We actually had better character interactions there than we did with the princesses at the Royal Court Royal Tea!

Rapunzel loves to hang out in her restaraunt and at the royal gathering, if you get my drift! She does go around and take photos with Flynn at RRT

We had a lovely tableside chat with Rapunzel in May 2023. Just us 3 women - my sister, Rapunzel, and me. If Flynn was around, he wasn’t as memorable as she was. Which was very engaging. I didn’t think to take a photo; we were having too much fun.

Maybe she got on in San Juan to enjoy the warmer weather of the Southern Caribbean. We did.

She got to hold his hand for the whole time leading the line through the restaurant and when I wasn’t quick enough to get a picture at the end he said to give him a moment and he would return once things calmed down. He was a man of his word and I got an amazing picture of him with her! Rapunzel was fantastic as well but we just adored Flynn!

I love that story. I don’t think I had any idea ahead of time about the tableside visits.

Sometimes in life, we each get what we need. A charming Prince, a nice talk among ladies. Someone probably enjoyed the regulars at the Snuggly Duckling.

These are what I think we are hoping for when we do a Disney cruise. And I would like to think those in charge will find out and continue to incorporate this into ongoing cruises. It’s so much more important than having the latest technology.

These are what I think we are hoping for when we do a Disney cruise. And I would like to think those in charge will find out and continue to incorporate this into ongoing cruises. It’s so much more important than having the latest technology.

I agree! It is those special interactions that really make DCL magical!

Rapunzel definitely goes around to meet at tables; I got a picture with her on the Magic last month. (I think Flynn goes around as well.)

When we were on in Nov 2022 Rapunzel and some of the thugs came around the tables.

That is not true. I did the Magic last year, and then again last month. Both times I was able to get pictures with Flynn, Rapunzel, and Hook Hand
