During our trip in March, we are planning on spending one day (on Tuesday) at a water park and then going to La Nouba. I am thinking of the 9pm show to give us time to get cleaned up and have dinner before the show. We will be staying at Old Key West and won't have a car. There will be four of us, myself, my husband, my 16 year old son and 14 year old daughter.

Where would you suggest having dinner?

I'm thinking of Wolfgang Puck Cafe or Olivia's. Which one would you recommend? Any other suggestions?

Other meals we have planned that week are Rainforest Cafe, Rose & Crown (hoping for patio tables for Illuminations), Crystal Palace, Prime Time Cafe and 'Ohanas. Those meals we will be doing with the larger group (9 total).

Thanks

To be honest, I'd pick a place in Downtown Disney...Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Olivia's, Planet Hollywood... You want to avoid problem with transportation just incase it's slow for some reason.

I see you have already booked it - and assume it is the AK Rainforest that you have booked? - they have one at DTD and that would be my suggestion before the show! :flower:

Both Wolfgang Puck and Olivia's are at the bottom of our list for dinner dining. Mediocre at best.

I would go to House of Blues. It is the closest restaurant to La Nouba theatre, has a great menu, wide variety, all prices. A true family favorite in our house.

I too vote for house of blues! Great food! Closest restaurant to Cirque!

Fun atmosphere. Try the pizza appetizer Yummy

I have to agree with House of Blues OR Wolfgang Puck, we love them both. I can never get past the Voodoo Shrimp, at HOB, YUM!!! Both places are great IMHO!!! :goodvibes

I think its a good idea to eat near DTD.

We ate at 6pm at Ohana and made it to the 9 o clock La Nouba with about 2 minutes to spare!

We spent the day at AK when we went to La Nouba... We ate at Rainforest Cafe (in AK) before heading back to the resort to change and head over to DTD. It worked PERFECT for us!

I'd say pick someplace in DTD or in your resort just for the ease in actually getting there.

Have fun!! It's a great show, my DH thought he'd hate it (doesn't like theatre or anything of the like), but he fell SO in love with it that he bought me tickets to Delirium (the traveling show) for my 24th bday in March!!

We ate at Puck's outside on the covered patio before Cirque on Thanksgiving day. Great food, excellent service and a very short stroll to the theater. We booked a 3:00 p.m. ADR and had a leisurely 2 hour dinner. We had tickets to the 6 p.m. show.

A really enjoyable day! We found the inside to be noisy but the patio was heaven. :goodvibes

Another vote for HoB! Great food, wonderful service (Thanks, Eli!), love the music!

The night we went to Cirque we ate at BD in MGM. we had a rental car so that is why we made it and had time to spare. If you don't have a car I would stick close to it. I have never ate at the HOB but from reading the bords souns like it is nice plus close to where you have to be Good luck no matter where you shose to eat and enjoy Cirque :Pinkbounc

This is where we dined before La Nouba, on our honeymoon 5 yrs ago. The food was delicious, Sangria amazing. We sat on the little patio outside. Had a wonderful time.

We had 6pm Ressies, so we did AK untill 2, went back to POFQ to clean up. Took the boat to Downtown and Captn Jacks was right next to the boat dock. I should have known when we arrive at 3:45 and they wouldnt seat us for dinner that started at 4:00, told us to wait in the lobby untill 4. I should have run after that but we shopped around and came back. (Seriously, sit them, give them a menu, get their drinks, and it would be 4!!!) We just didnt think the food was worth the money and the service was kinda slow. The view over the water and watching all the boats was nice. But it wasnt that great. We will go somewhere else next time. You will love Cirque!!!!
