We have a dinner reservation tonight at the Polynesian (staying at the Beach Club) we would like to drive, will we be able to park at the Polynesian or is only for resort guests given the holiday? Anyone there or have any recent experience?

I'd call the Concierge desk at the Beach Club and ask them. Given the holiday, you may have some issues, but they should either be able to tell you or call the Poly. I would definitely go early though. All you have to do at the gate is show your resort key or an id and tell them you have dinner reservations. I always bring a copy of our reservation as well so if they would ask or there is a discrepancy at the restaurant, they can see your confirmation of the time.

Good Luck!

I read a post yesterday that another DISer had to park valet at the Poly in the last day or so because the parking lot was completely full. If you're parking valet at the BC, I think you can get a receipt/slip from the BC valet, to show the CM at the Poly valet stand, and not have to pay again there. You may want to consider a taxi - we've never paid more than $20 (including tip) for a taxi between any of the resorts. You could take a taxi over and then take the monorail or boat to the MK and catch the bus back to the BC.

Have a great dinner. We love Kona and Ohana.

Just tell them you have dinner reservations when you get to the Poly gate. They'll have you park there at no charge, or you could upgrade valet.

Just wanted to report back, we did get in. They did have a list of reservations, we had our copy so that made it simple. The only parking available was valet. It was not as bad as I thought it would be (crowd wise) We were early and walked around a bit. The pool was more crowded in June when we were there! I didn't see anyone with wristbands at all
