Haven't heard much about this place but do have ADR made for dinner one night when we go in September. My 4 year old daughter loves Mexican. Good review? Bad review? Should we change? Thanks everybody!

We've always had a good experience here... but please don't think of this as an american mexican restaurant. It is very authentic mexican cusine... No wet burritos... things like that. The wait staff and service has always been great and the atmosphere is out of this world.. You really feel like your eating in a little town in Mexico at night even in broad daylight!!

Hope this helps.

It's not authentic Mexican cuisine either unless it's what they serve in the hotels populated by American tourists. We were extremely unhappy with the food here.

It's a very pretty setting and perhaps if you are not expecting real Mexican food, this might appeal.

It's not the best Mexican food in the world, but it's defintely not the worst. The atmosphere gets the gold star at San Angel. It is cool, relaxing and transports you to another place. It is a nice break from the hustle and bustle that Epcot can be.

Unless you are seated absolutely right up at the River of Time, San Angel is otherwise noisy, tables impossibly close together, poor service, and just OK food.

This was the surprise of our tip in October. I nearly cancelled the ADR many times because of the consistently bad reviews here on the dIS< but DH and DS wanted to eat here.
The setting is beautiful, the food was surprisingly very good (I did not expect Tex Mex), the service was attentive without being overbearing - just right. We totally enjoyed it here and we will return.

Eating in a "dark ride" can't be beat, it's my favorite in Epcot... if you want Disney Magic!

Food is good....not as American as Chili's Resturant or something main-stream American like that. Try the Pollo A Las Rajas very yummy :woohoo:

Staff has been friendly, but seemed a little shy ....we got them chatting and it was a very pleasant experience last 2 times we've been. Once we sat by the rail... once we sat in the middle of the resturant...although tables are packed-in, all seats have a nice view.

It gets bad reviews because so many go here expecting typical American style Mexican food. Many people simply do not like authentic food. You won't find much in the way of burritos, enchiladas or chimichangas etc on the menu.

The food here is excellent and atmosphere hard to beat. It can get noisy but unfortunatly thats the problem with almost all Disney restaurants. This is one of our regular dinners every trip.

EXACTLY right! I was one who went in expecting American Mexican food and ordered a burrito of some sort. It was "okay." But DH ordered a snapper dish and it was out of this world!!!!!! I'm actually kinda bummed that we are not dining here this trip!!!! I would definitely recommend this for your trip! Enjoy!
