Would you choose 6:25 adr and then go to the beach for wishes or would you take the 8:25 adr and watch wishes from inside the restaurant? This will be in May and from what I read wishes is at 9 pm.

Thanks for the help!

Last time I watched Wishes from the Beach at the Poly, I was eaten up by sand fleas. It was miserable. They might have solved the problem now, but 2 years ago, it ruined my wishes.

Hmm, sounds miserable! So, does 8:25 adr sound good to watch Wishes from inside Ohana?

The beach. First, you have to get a seat by the window in Ohana. Then when you do, the windows are tinted. Then the window looks smudgy. Then you take a pic and realize just how smudgy the window is. Then you think, are these shrimp deveined? And then you realize it doesn't matter because the windows are tinted and therefore you can't tell that they aren't.

Just playing around.....you will enjoy it more on the beach, IMO.

I have a similar question.

I have a hubbie that hates watching the fireworks in the park (I know...shock). He says it's way too crowded and hates waiting two hours sitting on a curb.

So, I was thinking....when we go in late August, how would this work...

Dinner at Ohana, wander down to the beach and watch the fireworks and then the Electric Water Parade? Do they still do it? what time would you suggest I get ADR's for? Will it be crowded on the beach? Will there be lawn chairs? When would you wander down to the beach? Do you have to be a resort guest at the Poly? We will be at the POFQ.

Thanks!!!

The beach. You don't get a good view from O'Hanas even with a window seat. A tip that I didn't try but saw others do it on our last night there. Go up the steps as if you're going to the slide on the pool and watch from there. It looks like it could be a great view. Worth a look to check out

Two years ago, we made a reservation for Ohana and the only ones left were later in the evening. I wasn't even thinking about the viewing of Wishes from there, but it was very nice to be in the middle of our meal and be able to view it. I would vote for taking the 8:25 res and enjoying the disply from Ohana!

We do Ohana's every trip. We have watched from Ohana's right in front and from the beach. We will be there again in May and plan on watching from the beach. We like that better.

I would pick the beach. Even if you do get a window seat, there's no guarantee you will be able to see wishes. We've had a window seat a couple of times and all we had a view of was a big palm tree.
