Dinner at MCO?

Anyone have any suggestions for dinner while waiting for a SWA outbound flight?
We'll be using DME for an 8:15 PM flight back to Buffalo - so will have to be onboard by 5-ish.
Where would you grab dinner for a family of adults & children? A couple adults will most definitely appreciate a cocktail - and kids are good eaters.

There is a Macaroni Grill before security at MCO. We ate dinner there before our flight a few weeks ago. It doesn't have the full menu, but it has enough. They asked us what time out flight was and were pretty quick with the meal. The tables are spaced out enough to accommodate luggage too.

Last time we grabbed dinner at Chick Fil A before security plus a couple of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for breakfast since the airline we flew on never does a good breakfast!

Check out the MCO website. The terminal that USAir flied out of has a Ruby Tuesdays and it is after security. There is also a Chili's in the main area overlooking security. We would eat there before our flight but due to the lines at TSA we have decided to eat after security on last couple of trips.

Yes - especially with the 2 children - I'd feel better if we were all thru security before grabbing a bite to eat.
Doesn't look like there's much in the area around SWA according to the the airport maps (thanks to nacho113) besides Au Bon Pain & Johnny Rivers... (except for a few counter service places; and even tho the kids would love McDonald's, we're definitely NOT eating there!
Was hoping to find a sit-down place to decompress a little - but it certainly won't hurt us to grab something & munch away while waiting at the gate area...

We always have dinner out the Outback Steakhouse Express(?). They don't have a full menu but it has most of the favorites on it. Quick and we've not been slowed down there.

I'm not sure how to tell how far that is from the SWA terminal (going by the link to the map nacho113 posted). Could you tell me what the Outback Express is near, and then I'm sure I can find it....

If you look at the map, it's in the main triangular section (center part) of gates 60-99 in Terminal B. You'll get off the baggage/security shuttle and empty into this section of Terminal B. You have to cross through this section to get to any of gates 60-99.

We flew AirTran the last two trips but I'm thinking SWA also flies out of Terminal B.

When we used to fly Delta, we usually ate at the Chili's Too located in that side of the airport.

Looking at the terminal maps, SWA flies out of Terminal A so Outback won't work for you after all. Sorry!

We have eaten at McD's on that side REALLY EARLY in the morning (6:55 am flight). Lines were LONG even for that time of the morning.

My family has also picked up sandwiches or other to go foods at the resort's counter service location (though we have been known to stop at the Patisserie or the Kringla to get a pastry) and then that to eat at MCO. It's our way of stretching out the "Disney" in our vacation a little longer. We usually eat before security.

Thanks for this info. We will be landing at MCO about dinner time in June and was thinking we might grab something to eat before boarding ME.
