Dinner at CRT

I am trying to make a dinner ressie for 2 at CRT for mid December and I have come up empty for two days in a row. I have called at 7:00 am both times. I have two more tries. Any suggestions?

Anyone ever walked up and got in that time of year (13th-16th)? How easy is it for a party of two to "walk up"? Don't want character breakfast or lunch, just dinner.

Should I call back once a week or so and check each night for cancellations or it that futile?

Any help would be appreciated.

I just called yesterday for ressies in less than 2 weeks. I asked for 2 people and they had nothing. I called back immediatly and made the ressies for 4 people and they had one at that late of notice! I did the same thing with our LeCellier ressies a while back. They had none for 2 people, but had one for 4 people. I think they have small tables for 2 people and they won't give you a bigger one. Try to call back asking for 4 people and see if that works. Just when you get there, tell them that it changed to 2, the other party couldn't make it or something.

Good idea, I actulally thought about that because they have said both times "I show no tables for two". I think I'll call now and try.

We were there last week and we had a table for 3 - no problem get ressies that week for dinner. People sitting next to us were 2 - but at a table for 4. Couple other tables that only had 2 at them. Tables for 2 are small and in short supply. Would try for a party of 3 or 4.

I did the same thing for my ADR's at CRT and YCG. I asked for table of 3 instead of 1 and wow they had a lot of seating times open all of a sudden. christinadei I think it was you who suggested that to me way back when and it worked great thanks

This is a 25th wedding anniversary trip and our first trip without the kids so this will make it even more special. Thanks again for the tip.

Next question: If Animal Kingdom closes at 5:00 pm and we want to have dinner at Rainforest how do we get back to the resort if we rode the bus there? Do we need to try to finish by 6-6:30 while the buses are still running or should we just take a car to AK to be certain?
