Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table - No Princesses?

I am taking my DD2 for her first trip to WDW during free dining. I was really excited that I was able to get ressies for CRT 5:30 pm on her birthday! She is a princess fanatic, especially Aurora and Ariel! But I have been planning our trip and from what I have read and understand....there is no princess meet-and-great at dinner? Can someone confirm this? If so, I guess I will be psycho-calling to get ressies for Akershus!

You are correct. Princesses are only at breakfast and lunch. You do meet cindy in the lobby still, but that is it. My friend took her dd to the dinner and was quite disapointed. She said it was geared more towards adults, and regretted spending the money on it.

We however went to the breakfast and thought it was great. Lots of princesses, and definatly worth the money. I'd keep trying back. You never know when someone will cancel out.

We did lunch and the kids had a great time. We got to see all of the princesses, get autographs, and plenty of pictures.

No princesses at dinner--thankfully! I have all boys and I'd never get to enjoy a meal in the castle if it was more than Cinderella in the lobby. The Fairy Godmother does come out and sing a song, along with a couple of the mice. They don't visit tables though. It's a nice grown up night.

You might also want to check out dinner at 1900 Park Fare (GF resort) for princesses.

Before dinner you meet Cinderella, but during dinner you just see the fairly godmother and two of the mice.

Thanks for everyone's responses. I called and was able to get ressies for Akershus to see Aurora and Ariel....my DD2 will be in heaven! I kept our ressies for CRT, it just sounds too magic to miss out!

I can see why many parents would be disappointed by not seeing Cinderella during dinner. However our experience was pretty good when I had made our ADRs March 07 for a Sept. 07 trip the CM made it very clear that Cinderella would ONLY be in the lobby.

We decided to attend anyway because we knew dd would at least see Cinderella. (We were surprised by the Fairy Godmother's visit and the two mice.)

After a twelve day trip filled with character dining it was a nice break to just eat and not worry about getting autographs and pictures.

I just hope that CMs do their best to let people know this fact bcause for those taking their children on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disney and missing out on Cinderella would be disheartening.

I am so glad you got your Akershus ADR and I think it was a good idea to keep the ADR for CRT......it WAS too magical to miss. (hint ask for a window seat)
I am very excited because this is our first time doing Akershus.....I here it is quite exciting for the little princesses.

I'm glad you were able to get Akershus, it really is a lovely place. However, Ariel rarely appears there. When we were there last we saw Belle, Aurora, Snow White, Jasmine, and Mulan. The only guaranteed place to see Ariel is at her grotto in the MK. The line there is usually very long, if you are set on seeing her make sure you go right before they open the grotto (I think they usually open at 10am). A few people have reported seeing Ariel at Akershus but it is definitely not a sure thing.
