For the first time, we are having dinner at Chef Mickey's instead of breakfast. Can anyone tell me what sort of food we can expect on the buffet for dinner?

Thanks!

All I can tell you is the dinner food is horrible...there are lots of choices but for us it was all bad.

We have had breakfast there and it is very good.

We love chef mickey's! All ears net has the full menu. You must try the parmesan mashed potatoes. They are amazing!

The mashed potatoes were good- and that was it. Please don't let this discourage you. While we prefer Chef Mickey's for breakfast as far as food goes, the main focus of any character meal is the characters ... and that aspect of Chef Mickey's is awesome.

The food is nothing fancy or spectacular but it is my families favorite place to go. The kids are picky and only like basic items anyway so it works out best for us!! The potatoes and the chicken corn chowder soup are fantastic!:goodvibes

We are going in December for dinner. We have been to the breakfast and loved it and are excited about Dinner. I think from what i have read, that it is normal buffet food and if you go in with that mind set, you will be happy with the food. Honestly, we have liked every buffet at Disney. And hey, even a bad meal at Disney is still a meal at Disney! :rotfl:

We prefer it for Breakfast, mostly because I love mashed Potatoes and Chef Mickeys puts Parmesean cheese in the potatoes and for me it ruins dinner sfor me at least, and to order it special takes to long and never works out....Great dinner deserts though....

Chef Mickey's is our traditional Day 1 dinner every trip. We love the parmesam mashed potatoes, as a matter of fact I just made them last week. Your best bet is to go to all ears to see the menu, but there is a soup and salad area which has peel & eat shrimp, there is a little childrens buffet area with the usual, there's a carved meat station and several other entre option like a fish, chicken, pasta, etc. Then for dessert there is an ice cream station and an area with cookies, cakes, pies, etc. Only 28 days until we eat there again :yay:

Thanks for the responses!

We always have great character interaction at Chef Mickey's so I am not too concerned about the quality of the food, just what it is.
