Dinner at Biergarten - how do you rate it?

I am trying to make up my mind whether to go next year. My kids are big on fish and salads and their favorite restaurant used to be Akershus - we all loved the buffet. We wont be going again though as the changes dont appeal.
Has anyone done the dinner? What type of fish was there? - they are fussy about their fish!
Finally, did you like the restaurant /entertainment? Thanks!.

Honestly, I can't remember if there was ANY fish served in the Biergarten buffet. It's very heavy on different meats, potatoes and desserts. The food is not our main reason for going there, but rather the "beer hall" type of environment with the oompah band, etc.

Biergarten is hearty food, think comfort food. I don't recall any fish.

We rate biergarten as one of the best restaurants there is on disney property, and you get the added bonus of the show for free. A truly great experience for all ages.

i don't remember any fish on the buffet. i rate this as my least favorite restaurant in world showcase at epcot. it is too loud you are seated at community tables and you must pass through very crowded seating areas on your way to and from the buffet

Thanks for the replies folks! Puzzled on the fish front though as it states on the menu that there is fish for dinner.

well i could be crazy and it was in 04 but i thought there was some grilled or broiled type thick white fish but have no idea what kind( i thought it was here since that's the only buffet we went to except brkfst..sorry but i have a tendency not to get such unless it's cold shrimp or a seafood buffet ) the rest of the food was very good imo

I also do not remember the fish. I really only go for shrimp and walleye, so it must not have been either of those. I remember the meat, potatoes and sausage mostly. They were great! It was a fun, casual place! Great for kids!

We love the Biergarten. Great food and atmosphere. Entertainment was very enjoyable. Overall a "9" on a 1 - 10 scale.

We ate there last Thursday. There was fish on the buffet. I thought it was salmon, but I didn't take any, so I could be wrong. There was plenty to choose from. I loved the marinated beef and the German noodles/dumplings and the red cabbage. Drinks are extra. We used our DDE card and the discount was $19.00. We had fun.
