Will this work? We are eating dinner at Be Our Guest... I figured we would get there a bit early, around 6:10.. and would be able to make the dessert party by 8:10?

I think you will be just fine unless you take 2 hours to eat.

Every time I've done BOG it only took an hour. So I think you should be done by 7:45 and head to your party

I agree. I would not book a dinner at 6:25 prior to the dessert party. The party is expensive and you will be full from dinner.
Just an FYI Arriving at BOG early is not likely to result in your being seated early. Indeed they often run behind on seating

Fortunately the last couple of times we ate at BOG, we were seated early so hoping for the best :) Good to know we will make it time-wise though- thank you!

Time-wise you should be able to make it, as long as BOG isn't running late. We've had dinner there 6x and more often than not have been seated past our ADR time, whether said ADR was 4:30 or 8:45. You can check in at 6:10 for a 6:25 reservation but that's as early as you can do it; unless they've changed they don't let you check in any earlier than 15 minutes before your scheduled ADR.

As Hopefully and Alesia said, I wouldn't do the dessert party after BOG dinner. We did just that in 2012 lol, but dinner was 5:30. BOG had just opened and we swore we'd skip dessert there since we were doing the party but couldn't resist the look of the cupcakes :cloud9: Needless to say we didn't eat as much as we would have at the dessert party. And back then the party only cost half of what it does now!

I am not *crazy* about any of the desserts at BOG (yes, even the gray stuff- LOL) so I think we will be fine..

I know this isn't your question and you seem to have already made up your mind but I agree with the posters above that you should not eat dinner and go directly to the dessert party as it will be a waste of money.

I took my DD(11) last year. We ate dinner at 4:00 and then went to the dessert party at 9:00 and that worked out well. Dinners at BOG are expensive and filling and so is the dessert party. Can you get an earlier dinner ressie?

Also, in recent posts guests have complained that there have been problematic changes to the dessert party procedures at MK ~which may effect your timing issues.

They reported that tables are no longer reserved~ but instead, you chose your seat when you enter causing people to line up very early for the best seats. Posters noted that tables now abut the rail so guests no longer can get up and go to the rail for a good view of the fireworks but instead must stay at their table making it even more imperative to line up early to get a good seat so you are not seated at a table underneath the awning that could obstruct your view of the fireworks.

I'm so glad someone reported back that they no longer have assigned seating. BOG has better desserts, the view from some of the tables in the back is not the best, you get a view slightly from the right, not dead on.

The whole point of booking the dessert party was to NOT have to waste park time and have a seat. It is absolutely worthless now!

I refer those interested in the changes to look at the DIS restaurant forum for a poster's report from the 2/1 MK dessert party

We did the FDP the last two trips with BOG dinners prior. The first year we had a 6:00 pm ADR at BOG, and we were way to full at the FDP. We did skip dessert at BOG too. Last year we decided on an early 4:00 dinner at BOG and it worked out perfectly for our family and friends with the FDP. I would suggest an ADR no later than 5 pm.

We are skipping the FDP this year. Although I reserved right away with the first seating time, they assigned us to a back table with little room close to the desserts. I was not happy with how difficult it was to get out of my seat. They put 8 of us at an assigned table, the same size table they had four people at. The first year I booked as soon as the date was available, and we had a great table that was assigned along the railing. They also had the photographers back then so you had a great picture with the castle illuminated behind you.
