I am looking for a restaurant to combine with viewing the Halloween fireworks in October. California Grill is booked for the entire night. I was thinking either Kona and watching the fireworks from the Polynesian's beach, or The Wave and watching somewhere at The Contemporary.

It will be two adults, not looking for a huge 3 course meal, will not be going to the parks, and we are paying OOP. Probably only shared appetizers and cocktails, maybe split dessert. Both menus have things that we would like to eat. Is the quality better at one versus the other? Does one have a significantly more fun atmosphere? Is the fireworks view better at one resort?

Thanks for any input!

Well should you choose The Wave you can watch the fireworks from the 4th floor observation deck which is located just past the Fantasia Market store. Plus one advantage the Contemporary has is that they are the closest resort to the Magic Kingdom, so you would be as close to there without actually being insde the park.
