My husband and I are really looking forward to visiting Epcot during the Food and Wine Festival, we love trying new foods and can't wait sample lots of stuff! As I was reading over the menu items from last year, my DH asked if we should keep our ADR for San Angel or will we be full from the samples we've had all day. For those who have gone in the past, do you still have a sit down meal that day?

You didn't say how many days you will be at Epcot. If it's only one day I wouldn't do the ADR. You won't even be able to scratch the surface of all F&W has to offer in one day. If it's multiple days then you might want to keep the ADR, up to you. When we do F&W & go for a week I usually only make 1-2 ADRs for Saturday nights when F&W lines are so long I don't want to deal with it. :-)

I second this post. We are usually there 7-8 days and only use ADRs for Friday or Saturday dinners due to heavy crowds at the booths. If you are only there one day, you are definitely going to have enough to chose from at all the booths! Have fun!!

I have late ADRs for all 4 nights we will be there. That will be our down time.

I am usually stuffed by the time we work our way around 1/3 of the booths. I can't imagine wanting to eat afterwards.

Thanks for the replies! This is unfortunately a short trip (5 days) so we will only be doing 1 full day at Epcot and then one evening we'll hop over after AK, both days I have ADR's planned because we have free dining. I may try to switch some stuff around the one day because I do think we'll be too stuffed from sampling to sit down to a big meal :)

My sister and her husband cancelled their ADr's. My dh is not a very adventurous eater so we kept our ADR. It was also his birthday and he loves pizza so we had dinner at Via Napoli.

If you're trying to use up dining plan credits, consider one of the signature restaurants that require 2! If this isn't free dining discount on your package, consider not doing the dining plan at all, as it might come out better for you just to pay out of pocket since F&W doesn't exactly fit into the DDP model. (I'm not just dissing the dining plan! We use and like it, but it's not always the right choice)

One year we had a dinner reservation and we were so full we couldn't eat much. But , we didn't want to pay the cancellation fee. After that, we just schedule one full day for grazing at the Food and Wine festival from lunch through dinner. We enjoy the variety of drinks too. We always start it off with a delicious Margarita! We also visit other days for snacks.
