After alot of thinking, I have to agree about family members flying all day, then having to take a bus to the closest theme park, then transfer to another bus to get to another resort to eat or take the boat to DTD, walk to the bus stops, grab a bus to another resort, eat, then turn around and do that commute again would be too much to ask or expect from them.

So have decided on letting everyone arrive (I'll check everyone in while I am there), drop their stuff, then grab the boat to Downtown Disney and dine at Raglan Road. I've never been to that restaurant before and it will be a nice way to relax. Also, I did not get to DTD on my last trip, so that will be a nice.

I know Raglan is on the DDP, but is it a restaurant that I can make an ADR for ahead of time or is it just 1st come 1st sit?

Whispering Canyon Cafe is MY first night dinner on my upcoming trip. But I have 2 kids...it gets REALLY loud in there. So if you're looking for something a little less boisterous, one of the others will be a better bet. If not, make sure to get ketchup for your fries ;)

You can and it is suggested that you make an ADR for RR. If you didn't want to make an ADR, you might get lucky and get a table or you might get a couple of seats at the bar, but of course you could end up waiting quite some time to get a seat.

Need a 1 TS credit restaurant for 4 adults for dinner outside of a park and have narrowed it down to one of the following:

Kona Cafe
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Raglan Road
Wolfgang Pucks

Which would you choose & why?

I would choose Raglan Road. I have yet to be to Downtown Disney but think for the first night its a great place to start out. Probably will go this route on our next trip. Was there this past March, we arrived early on a Sat (10am), I had made lunch reservations at Le Cellier (only 1 dining credit) for 130pm. Around 7pmish we all were a little hungry so we had fish and chips from the UK. This was all easy for us as we stayed at BCV and could walk right into Epcot.

Excellent choice:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I think you and your family will really enjoy both the food and the beverages on tap. And the music!:cool1::cool1:

But I think you REALLY SHOULD make an ADR. Getting one or two seats at the bar is no problem. But a table for more than 2 after 5:00pm? Highly unlikely without a long wait.

I can make my ADR's on Saturday, so after Le Cellier, it will be my next one.
