I asked this on my PTR, but thought I should post here as well. Any suggestions on a quick service place to eat the serves more than the usual hamburgers and chicken nuggets?
"quick" service doesn't exist at DLP . For counter service though, you have a lot of choice really - Fuente de'l Oro in Frontierland serves Mexican, Toad Hall in Fantasyland is fish and chips, Colonel Hathis or Bella Notte are pizza/pasta and salad restaurants. Hakuna Matata is spiced chicken etc. When its open, Last Chance Cafe is ribs/roast chicken etc.
Loads of choice in the Village too, you can pretty much take your pick there and barely a burger in sight .
I agree with this we tend to have a big breakfast and then a late lunch and dinner (say 3pm and 9pm) this is a good way to avoid the main crowds.
Fuente del oro is one of my favourite counter services in the park! Although it wasn't open on my last two trips! Hoping to try Hakuna Matata this time!
I'll 2nd or 3rd even Toad Hall. I also like Hakuna Matata - they do a chicken and rice dish which isn't bad and their chicken strips and spicy chips makes a nice change.
You've also got EoS in the Village which isn't far to go to and doesn't get as crowded as the c/s in the parks. Also if the weather is good it's nice to sit out there with a view over the lake.
