Dining with food allergies ... (milk)

My 4 y/o twins are allergic to milk. While I am pretty positive that we will be ok at the TS meals(after hearing such great things about the chefs and Brenda Bennet, the contact person), I am concerned about the CS. Do you find most places to be accommodating? I just hate to have a line of 30 people behind me and have to ask for an ingredient list ... I can just see everyone impatiently rolling their eyes.

Does it really work out?

This is my first vacation where I won't be in charge of my daughters' food the entire time and I am a little nervous.

try contacting the Special Diets department of Disney. They can email you information on what counter service restaurants have and the ingredients. It includes if a certain food may contain traces of our problem foods and where you can find what your children can safely eat. Print it out and take it with you, or copy and paste the *safe* foods, so you'll already know what to order.

We deal with multiple allergies (soy, sesame, lots of fruits, some nuts). I've found that going to counterservice places early in the meal time (like before 11:30 for lunch and before 5:30 for dinner) works best, because there is NO line to worry about. You'll have plenty of time to doublecheck the ingredients binder.

Do get the listings for whichever counterservice locations you are interested in beforehand, so that you can choose which would work best.
