My wife and I are going on our third cruise next year and the first time we managed to get other people from my family to come along with us. My question is, how do I make sure that we're all seated together for dinner?

You can call DCL and request that your reservations are linked. You may need the other cabins reservations numbers and names when you call DCL.

You can link your reservations online. You also need their reservation number, date of birth and last name of the main guest. As long as the reservations are linked, they will be seated together unless you request otherwise.

Just FYI, the agent on the DCL chat feature told me that you have to call to request to be seated together. She said linking online alone would not guarantee it. The cruise we took in 2019 with family was only linked online and we were seated together, but I plan on calling this time to be safe.

That’s the first time I’ve ever seen that mentioned, and that question has come up often here and elsewhere. I’m sure that if only linking could lead to separate tables, we would have heard of it before. Better safe than sorry but I‘d be surprised if that was actually true.

Agreed. Doesn't seem right. But thought I would report it just in case. She even said she could not do it over chat. It was phone only. I will ask when I call in and report back.
