Hi New to DVC and am going to buy the annual pass. Can you add the dining plan on to your trip if you have an annual pass?
Thanks

When staying on points at a DVC resort, you can add the dining plan no matter what type of park tickets you use. Be sure to let member services know that you want the dining plan so it can be linked into your resse prior to your arrival at the resort.

The dining plan is the plan where you get one table service, one counter service, and one snack per night of your stay. It is available to anyone staying on points.

However, with an annual pass you can purchase the DDE card, which gets you 20% off almost all table service meals, including alcohol.

Here's a list of the various discounts you can get through DVC, with an AP, and through DDE.

Now that we can get the DDP, I still use my DDE card on drinks and anything not included on the DDP. Also stay a lot on weekend nights with the AP discount, used the DDE card on dining these days.

First I want to thank you all for your replies but I am new at this and don't understand the abbreviaions??? I get DDP disney dining plan but what is AP and DDE? And if I have an annual pass do I have to get the DDP on all my nights or just how many I want. How does that work?
Thanks again for all your help! :confused3

AP is Annual Pass

DDE is Disney Dining Experience - a flat %20 off at most dining at WDW, you can get this if you have an annual pass.

Like others said if you are staying example at SSR on points you can add the dining plan to your reservation. You must have the dining plan for your entire stay.

But if you are staying at the Polynesian using an Annual Passholder rate, you can not add on the dining plan.
