Dining when park is closed for the evening?

We've been trying to get a SciFi dining reservation and a Touring Plans alert popped up recently stating that there was availability at 8:10pm one night. The park is scheduled to close at 8pm - in fact the website still states that. So I blew it off thinking it was a mistake until I realized it probably wasn't.

So do some restaurants stay open past park hours at DHS, and how late are they open? I recall that was the case at AK years ago, but that was when they closed at 5!

Yes, they stay open after the shows. You will not be rushed through eating. You do have to be in the park before close, though.

We had a reservation at Tiffins early this year that was 5 minutes after park close. We were not rushed in the least and enjoyed the quietness.Even better when we left we found an entirely empty park which was very cool. They also had buses queued up for folk with late reservations and we ended up with our own private bus back to the hotel.
