Dining vs. Premium package?

I've noticed that there is a lot of information on the dinning plan, but I don't really hear too much about the premium or platinum plans. I am wanting to go back at Christmas, but it might have to wait for a Valentine's trip. I thought about checking into WL concierge level, but looked at the possible prices. I figured it would cost me roughly the same (depending on 2008 package prices) to have the premium plan.

Has anyone done this and was it worth the extra money? We usually eat TS for dinner, but the kids will love the character breakfast so this is why I'm even considering this an option. Plus dh really wants to see Cirque over in DT and I think that is included.

One more question, I'm guessing that snacks are not included and is that something that should be missed? I think my kids would like to have those, but then again the breakfast has more OOP costs anyway.

**If I posted this in the wrong place Sorry!, I wasn't sure where to post this question**

We were going to do the Premium package because we enjoy sit down breakfast and my DH plays golf. Then I figured out all the money I could save by just having the dining plan, that we could stay an extra night.

Boats are expensive, but they are included in the Premium, so that would be a big benefit for my family.

You can go to character breakfasts on the basic DDP:thumbsup2 and it will only cost one TS credit, with the exception of CRT which is two TS credits. So if you doing it only for the character breakfasts then you may want to reconsider. Now if the unlimited golfing for DH is the big draw as well as the Cirque then the premium package might be a good deal for you. :cool1:

According to what I read from the unofficial guide, you pretty much have to take advantage of everything thats offered in the premium package in order to save money on it. Everyone in your party has to be on it (or at least, everyone booked under the same packege - same room) and you have to have it for every night you're there. You cant do half premium, half dining (which is probably what most people would do if they could)

Might be a good idea to do the math on it. Figure out what it would cost for one or two character breakfasts (I dont think you'd need to do more than two in a week but maybe you'd want to), the cirque du soleil tickets and each other individual option you definitely plan to use. If that cost is significantly less than the cost of the premium package, dont bother.

Would you definitely do a sit down lunch and a sit down breakfast every day?

Mostly it just looks convenient to me but not necessarily financially great if you're on a budget.
