Dining time change

What is the likelyhood of your dining time change request being fulfilled? I booked at the beginning of the year for an October cruise on the Magic. We are second seating with a request to be changed to first.

Depends on so many factors how full the ship is how long the wait list is. Keep asking regularly IE every other month and also the week before and as you embark. They do try but Main dinner is very popular.

Once you board... head straight to the dining area (or is it guest services) where they are processing changes. While others are gorging in the welcome lunch buffet, put your request in early on the waitlist... you might get lucky. I did.

Like xlxo, I got mine switched on board as well. I did everything Disney Fantasy outlined above but didn't have any luck. When I went to one of the MDRs (they tell you which one in the Navigator you get at the port), they had quite a few spots to switch dining. Good luck!

We had out TA waitlist us and were not notified that it had been changed. I just happened to notice when logged into my reservation one day that it showed main dining. I wasn't convinced the waitlist even existed but sure enough it does! After the PIF date when some people back out of your cruise it could be possible that some main dining opens up.

We also want to change ours to early dining. We booked relatively late (just now for a December cruise) and early dining is full. Not sure how our 5 year old will tolerate a late dinner, but we are also on the waiting list to get it changed.

We put in a waist request in July for our Sept cruise and just got an email last week that it was changed to main. I wasn't sure it would happen but it did.

We also had a request for main dining for our holloween cruise on the fantasy.....we booked in January and just got an email this week that our request went through! We have 3 little ones so was really hoping for main dining. . Good luck and have a great cruise!

We put in a waist request in July for our Sept cruise and just got an email last week that it was changed to main. I wasn't sure it would happen but it did.

I now it is a typo (most likely caused by auto correct, which comes up with the most strangest words), but with regard to dining on a cruise ship, I love the idea of a "waist request"!! Next time I am going to request my waist to be shrunk during the cruise, not extended like it is usually the case!

Generally 5:45 and 8:15. But can vary a bit from cruise to cruise.

In the Med for example dinner times have been 6.15 and 8.45 pm.

We had booked early dining, but were assigned 2nd seating. At embarkation this was corrected and we were switched back to main in an instant. Had a blast with the 9-top table we were seated!

Definitely go to the place mentioned in the Navigator to change. Try to get there early. We were able to change to main seating.
