Dining Time at Le Cellier

We made an 8:00 reservation for two adults at Le Cellier.

Can we do our three courses at a decent pace and still make 9:00 Illuminations?

It might be a bit tough, especially if you are not seated right away. I think the area around Canada gets crowded with folks who want to be able to make a quick exit after the show. It might be hard to get a spot up against the rail so you can see. We saw folks lining up 30 minutes ahead of time. I'd shoot for 7 or 7:30 if you can.

We had 6:30 adr and only made it outside at 8:45. We had two wiggly kids with us so we were not just sitting around. I would say it would be very hard to finish your meal before illuminations and actual get to enjoy any of it. The service here is at a pretty relaxed pace and very enjoyable , I would not want to rush it!!! IMHO

A few weeks ago, we had a 7pm ADR. We didn't get out for, at least, an hour and a half later. Sorry - sounds like you are going to miss the Fireworks unless you get seated faster and have faster service once seated. We didn't even have dessert.

I think we're going to drop the reservation and go to Spoodles at 9:45 instead.

Thanks for the info.

Good call. We usually don't get out of Le Cellier for at least an hour and a half after our ADR time. We missed the fireworks last trip because of it--heard them begin outside and decided we were more interested in our steaks than in the show!!

Le Cellier is definately on my "not-to-be-missed" list at Disney. It is probably in my top three restaurants, along with Cape May Cafe and Kona Cafe (great desserts). Dinner is very hard though as Le Cellier is actually the smallest table service restaurant at Epcot.

Probably the best suggestion I can make is to try to make a reservation for lunch. The menu is slightly different at lunch, but you can still get most of the specialties, with the exception of prime rib and surf & turf. If you are going to be at Epcot for the rest of the evening, you may want to consider a 2:30 or 3:00 reservation. This is generally a slower time, so you are more likely to get in. I love doing this and then just snacking on the various treats that can be found around the World Showcase while waiting for Illuminations to start.

We're a party of two trying LeCellier for the first time in September. Do you think it will take 1.5 hours to get in and out of there with ressies at 6:00? Is the service slow and is that why it takes so long to get in/out of there?

The service is not slow, but at a nice restaurant like Le Cellier, 1.5 hours is about the right pace for dinner.

Okay.?... It's just that we've been to plenty of nice restaurants on Disney property and I don't think it's ever taken us that long.
