We are going to DW July 12-18. This is our 3rd trip to DW in the past 18 months. Previously, we have been at Cindy's during the fireworks, Crown and Rose for Illuminations (both by accident), Chef Mickey's for breakfast, Princesses BK at Epcot and Chrystal Palace 3 times (DD loves Eeyore).

This trip, the only thing we have booked is BK at Cindy's! We didn't want to book anything else b/c we didn't want to be tied down to an agenda. However, I'd like to know if there are any neat places we should try out and whether we need to get a PS (and if so, when should we book the PS)?

Also, we would like to see Fantasmic one night. Is it best to get a ressie at one of the Restaurants in MGM to get the PS for the show?

Thanks.

here are some of my favorites:

MK - Liberty Tree Tavern (American Family Style Meal), Tony's Town Square (American Italian)

MGM - Mama Melroses (can get fantasmic Ressies here, California Italian), 50's Primetime Cafe (a must do for my family..food like mom used to cook, served by a wacky cast of characters)

Epcot - Le Cellier (one of my fav WDW restaurants, Canada Pavilion), My family enjoys 9 Dragons as well (Chinese)

At the Resorts: Ohana at the Poly is GREAT!!!!! A must do for our crew.

Concourse steakhouse is a must do as well.

Boma is fun, exotic food, a little too exotic for some in my crew.

Hope this helps,
Jungle Josh :D

Thanks JJ. Looks like you'll be checking in after we leave.

Do you think I'll have any problem with the Fantasmic PS's since we're closer than 90 days out. I looked at the Fantasmic thread and it looks like you have to get your foot in the dorr with an early ressie, then keep calling back to cancel and get a later one.

Another vote for 'Ohana at the Poly! It's a very fun dinner that I think your whole family will enjoy. If you'd like to try a character dinner, both the Garden Grill at Epcot and Liberty Tree Tavern at MK are good choices.

While I agree that you don't want so many PS's that they tie you down, we have found that we do better if we have at least a few PS's, especially during the busy summer months. Otherwise, you may end up eating counter service every meal.

Our family will be doing the Fantasmic dinner package in June. We chose to do the dinner package because we have never seen Fantasmic, we're not much for waiting in line and that one is a whopper, so we figured the only way we'd ever see it is with the package. We chose Hollywood & Vine for the package because it was the least expensive and has a good selection.

All of these PS's, and most others, can be made 90 days out. You're within that time frame so I'd suggest making PS's as soon as you decide on days and times to get the best choice of times.

Yes, I think the Garden Grill has a nice Ice Cream social. Only prob, it's the least favorite park of DD. I'm going to have to sneak over at EMH and ride Mission Space though.

May look into the Liberty Tree though. Thanks for the input.

Dinner at Ohana during the fireworks is as good as it gets. They pipe in the music ... it is awesome!!!!!!!!!!

May have to check out the Ohana too. If they have a PS available may have to combine that with an e-ride night since it would be a late dinner.

Most helpful. Keep 'em coming, please.
