There is only place where you can get a really good meal and there are a significant number of tables with a view of Illuminations: Rose and Crown. However, even there, only about 30% of the tables have a view, you cannot reserve one of those tables in advance, and almost every patron who decides to eat at that restaurant wants one of those tables. We've been very lucky, getting a table with a view of the show three times out of the eight times we've had dinner there during the show. If you're happy with those odds, then that would be your option. (If you don't get one of the good tables, they do let you stand at the back of the terrace during the show to watch.)
You may be better off chosing your dinner spot based on what you want to eat, and planning a dinner early enough that you'll be surely done long enough before the show to be able to find a good place to stand to see it.
