My flight should arrive at MCO at 9am on Tuesday. Currently planning on taking magical express to POP upon arrival and then heading to Epcot.

My schedule is seeming to lend itself to attending Eat to the Beat that night vs. Wednesday. (Boys II Men is playing so I know it will be crowded).

Question is - if there would be a flight issue how forgiving is WDW on the reservation? If I'm just a little late I will probably send my bag to POP and take a cab directly to Epcot. Reservation I'm looking at is 2:30pm dining package at Via Napoli.

Thoughts? Would you risk it?

Barring any delays, you will make it to Epcot. If you are delayed, you might not, depending on the severity of the delay.

If you're more than 15 minutes late they will probably assume you're not coming. More than 30 minutes late and it's probably not going to happen. But if you have flight delays, call WDW DINE and explain.

I personally would book nothing that is non refundable on arrival Day

While on paper it looks fine, if you have a 3 hour delay, your plans will fail. Yesterday around the country there were significant delays due to weather. Including 5 hours to mco. Dining packages are not regular adrs.

The ETTB package isn't nonrefundable or prepaid. It's just like a regular reservation except for the 2 day cancellation instead of 1 day cancellation. Standard $10 per person for no-shows.

I wouldn't book anything non-refundable on an arrival day either unless you are either certain you have enough time to get there (with a lot of buffer time) OR you don't mind parting with the $10 pp reservation fee even if you don't make it. It is always possible they will refund you based on any travel delays but it is equally possible they will not, and the charges will stand.

I'd be willing to eat the $10 if need be. Any idea what the arrival time would need to be to get into the 5:30pm show? I know for the shows I've been to 4:30-4:45pm has been early enough but they were not as big of a name as this. I had heard that there are long lines on this one (is that true? how bad?)

They say be in line at least 45 minutes before the show starts. Whatever you do, get in before they open all the seating up to everybody, so you should be in the theater no later than 15 minutes before showtime.

You've got a bit of time built in already. I agree, if it's only 10.00 I'd risk it. If you have to pay for a meal package prior, I'd be more cautious but I'd probably still risk it.
