Dining Rotation Question

On the 7 nt eastern we had the APL rotatiion and we were in Parrot Cay for the formal night and Lumiers on the semi formal night.
I dont think it is possible to have a rotation without kids unless you are able to get Palo reservations every night.

kcashner and rae- Who are your very favorite servers?

I am very partial to several and it's often very hard to pick one but in no particular order....

MacLean from India - head server - IF a server/assistant server is on MacLean's team, then he is probably EXCELLENT. I've had the privilege of being part of MacLean's "dining guests" for several cruises and he is by far my most favorite of all.

Gaspare - Italy - head server -Had him for the first time in October and was very pleased.

As for servers/assistant servers:
Alex from Phillipines (one cruise)
Giorgio from Brazil (three cruises)
Roberto from Peru (one cruise)
Andrea from Hungary (one cruise)
Erwin from St. Vincent (one cruise)

Many have completed their contracts already and have gone on - but those CM's are fabulous!!!
I have had some very good servers for other breakfast and lunch.

I also recommend Alina from Shutters for pictures - she has supermodel looks and the kindest heart you could imagine!!
IF Rico is back at Guest Services, he is top notch in helping you with any and all concerns - plus he has a knock out personality!!!

I like to visit the gals down at the onship stores also - their personalities make each trip memorable - whether I buy or not, they are always so pleasant!!

One thing that I take into consideration when recommending or discussing a CM, is their willingness to share their culture with us. Do they mind telling us about their customs, give us a few words in their language to learn, etc?

As a homeschooling Mom, I want my son's trip to be more than a big vacation - I want him to learn about other people and their lands, to be tolerant and involved in others so that he can have a better understanding of the world around him.

I know this is more than you asked but I am feeling very verbal tonight!!!!!!!!!

Rae,
On our last Magic cruise, 12/6, Gasparre was the dining room manager. Maybe he was promoted. We had Kayan as our head server. He was fabulous! Jeff was also a head server and I didn't catch the third head server's name. That whole team is wonderful. They really seem to have a good time working together.

How wonderful for him! He is a delightful man and I did enjoy his company very much - I lived in Italy for 3 years and although my Italian is poor to lousy, he was very kind and listened to me rattle some phrases about!!!!

Thanks for sharing that good news with us! Always glad to know a deserving person was promoted!

Oh, darling, I have opinions on everything - I'm a native New Yorker - it comes with the birth certificate - but that doesn't mean that mine are right or even popular but I do have those opinions.

Likewise, I like to listen to and do respect the opinions of others, even of those I don't agree with (Hey, differences make the world go round!!) and would "defend to the death a person's right to be wrong.

Now do you want to hear my speal about Dueling Pianos and The Piano Guy (Fidelio)? I'm Founder and President of the Fidelio Fan Club so maybe you have already heard them!! HAHHAHA!

ROCK ON FIDELIO!

we were on the Wonder and there was a dueling pianos duo that we totally enjoyed...in fact, my daughter didn't miss a single one of their performances....i think i'd categorize her as groupie rather than fan...

Is there a TPA dining rotation on the 4-day? I didn't see one. That would be my first choice because it would have you in Tritons your first day and your last. Also, your embarkation breakfast. Then you would be in Parrot Cay for Tropical night (Nassau Day). And saving the best for last (from a kid's perspective), you would be in Animators Palatte.

I've only been on the 7-day Eastern, so I need help from all you 4-day veterans.

Thanks! :earsgirl:

And that's how I got to be Founder and President of the Fidelio Fan Club -

If men only realized that their mothers were right about practicing piano........give me an ivory tinkler anyday!
