This was our fifth trip to Disney, and our first on the dining plan. We are a family of 5 including DH and I, our 13 year old daughter, our 5 yo son and our 2 yo son.

The first part of our trip was at CSR. We ate lunch at the Peppermill Market three times. It was not confusing at all and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The selection is good and the portions huge. I would say that I enjoyed the burgers and Mexican food the most. The Caesar salad not so much. Dh and DD loved the steak and DS liked the kids pasta. Great value here.

Boma- We like to try new things and really enjoyed Boma. We loved finally seeing the AKL and the atmosphere there is awesome. This ended up being the best buffet of our trip. Fresh, unique foods. Good juicy prime rib, fresh yummy salads. Something for those who want to try something different, but enough staples to make most that don't happy. Our server was wonderful and attentive!

Liberty Tree Tavern- We had a 6:00 ADR before the 21st MNSSHP. Everyone enjoyed the food. Typical turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc. The beef was a bit dry. We were there more for the characters than the food, though. They were cute in their costumes, and came around fairly quick. The interaction was so so, but it was a busy night. We were satisfied. The server was ok.

Prime Time- We have eaten here before so knew what to expect. Our server was fun, but not as fun as the one next to us. LOL She took good care of us, though. For appetizers DH and I had the fried cheese. It is soft inside unlike most fried cheese, but we enjoyed it. My DD had shrimp cocktail which she loved. My DH and DD had steak, which was better than I expected. I had pot roast. It was pretty good. I didn't love it, but it was fine. Brownie sundays for dessert. They were very good, but we were too full to enjoy them. This would be a trend for our entire trip.

Chef Mickey's- We go to Chef Mickey's every time we go to Disney. It has been about five years since our last trip, though, and Chef Mickey's food definitely went downhill. The prime rib was very dry, the food items were frequently empty or low. They used to have a really good salad bar, but that has dwindled quite a bit. Everything just seemed kinda blah. Nobody really loved it. It was fun, though, and we enjoyed the characters.

San Angel Inn- Again, we haven't been to Disney for a few years, and in the past this was one of our favorites. It is still beautiful, but definitely not as good. The menu has changed and I feel that it is quite limited. DH and I both ordered some steak dish and it was not good. I can't remember what DD ordered, but she didn't like it either. The service was extremely slow and the waiter kept forgetting things. Unfortunately, it was bad enough that we won't be back.

Kona- This was our first time eating at Kona. We were seated at a nice little booth and ordered drinks. The Pina Colada was yummy! I ordered the blue cheese salad (can't remember the name) and DH the sticky wings. The salad was awesome! DH liked the sticky wings. We both ordered the filet. It was ok. Not the best, not the worst. I had to skip desert because I just couldn't eat another bite. Dh had mousse and he enjoyed it. The service was pretty good.

Le Cellier- It was our first time here and it didn't disappoint. By far our best meal of the whole trip! DD ordered the cheese soup. DH and I the shrimp cocktail. We didn't enjoy the shrimp cocktail, but my DD soup was yummy, so next time I am getting that. The pretzel bread was very good. We all ordered the mushroom filet with mashed potatoes instead of risotto. Finally, a good filet! Tender and cooked to perfection. For dessert I had the creme' brulee. Very good! DD had the sorbet. It was ok. DH had the chocolate moose, which was very cute and good! The server was wonderful!

Crystal Palace- This was our first time there. The buffet was so so. Again, dry prime rib, good turkey, though. The salad bar was also good here. The desserts were almost always empty, though. It took awhile for the characters to get around, and they didn't stay long, but the kids loved seeing Pooh and friends. The server was ok.

Sci Fi- We have been here before and knew to stick to burgers and milk shakes. We did onion rings and artichoke dip for appy's. Both were good. The onion rings were not greasy as I had read. The cookie milk shake was soo good that we ordered another for dessert to share with the kids. Our waitress couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. Just a super nice girl. We had fun!

Coral Reef- This is the only ADR that we had to wait awhile for. They were 30 minutes behind. Our waiter was rude from the get go. We ordered lobster soup and it was pretty good. We all ordered king crab legs and they were very good! Dessert was again creme' brulee for myself and chocolate lava cake for DD and DH. Once again awesome creme' brulee. The chocolate lava cake was ok. A little too rich. Very poor service.

Ohana- We had extra table service credits on check out day and were lucky enough to get in for breakfast. It is family style and the food was pretty good. The coffee was so, so, but the mango juice is awesome! It took awhile for the characters to get around, but they spent more time with us than previous buffets, so we didn't mind. There was a parade for the kids and characters around the restaurant, and the kids loved that. The waiter was ok.

To sum it up, we had a wonderful time!! Sadly, food quality has gone down since a few years ago. The dining plan was way too much food, but we got through it. :rotfl: The kids choices were not great. Alot of days my DS just shared with us. You can only eat so many chicken nuggets, and not many places had pasta. He doesn't like the uncrustables. Anyway, I hope this is helpful and feel free to ask if you have any questions!:)

Great reviews- we definitely agree with you about Chef Mickey's- the food choices and quality have definitely been on a slow decline over the last several years.

Great reviews, thanks for posting.
